Job description

The Genset application team is looking for a Mechanical Engineer Support (Agency) to fill this post. The chosen candidate will assist with pricelist audits for large generator sets around the world and TDM.

maintains EHDs to guarantee accurate BoMs for all maintained pricelists (Engineering Handoff Documents). The L5 Configuration Project work (BOM accuracy) and duties for G3500 pricing lists are being delayed since current engineers are unable to keep up with the workload and are overburdened with factory support. Requesting to replace the agency engineer in order to support L5 lead engineers, BOM accuracy difficulties, and supplier quality issues. In order to ensure that pricelists provide accurate material lists for orders, this engineer also develops new pricing arrangements and modifies old ones. collaborates on pricelist updates with the marketing and product definition teams and aids with PLCN routing. investigates, collaborates with L3s, identifies RCCA, and provides ICAs to address shop concerns.

Some of the responsibilities include:

• Responses from VDRA, L5 and L3 concerns
• EHD updates, such as PACNs, print modifications, order audits, and order modifications
• Model difficulties, TMI package data, BoM or configuration questions received from Product Support
• Updates to the Technical Construction File (TCF) for maritime and gas products
• By keeping EHDs current, you can guarantee precise BoMs for all maintained pricelists.
• Making sure that pricelists drive accurate material lists on orders, create new pricing arrangements and update old ones as needed.
• Assist with the routing of PLCNs and work with the marketing and product definition teams to update the pricelist.
• Investigate, work with L3s in coordination, find the RCCA, and offer ICA to support shop issues.
• Before adding design changes to a pricelist, coordinate performing virtual and physical fit-ups.

A successful candidate will collaborate and work for a global team, have strong written and oral communication skills, and have desired skills in fundamental engineering tools like Teamcenter, ProE, EDS, VisMockup, and drawing standards. They will also have an understanding of electrical systems and be able to identify various issues in the build through the audit process, particularly on Pricelist. Understanding of BOM guidelines for pricelists, compatibility statements, and a solid grasp of Creo tools

• should have practical knowledge of the VISMOCKUP tool.
• should have practical knowledge of the Creo tool.
• good at building simple or complex creo models.
• prior knowledge of the Genset package.
• Experience with virtual validation, virtual audits, and virtual reviews is required; VDRA for the pricelist is a bonus.
• An extra advantage is having knowledge of the manufacturing process and plants.
• working closely with the product Onsite teams is necessary.
• Electrical or electronic ability, mechanical or industrial engineering aptitude and strong communication abilities are preferred disciplines with solid work experience in virtual manufacturing and auditing being a plus.
• You must have practical knowledge of tools linked to Caterpillar. EDS, Team Center, and HVC’s
