Description
As an Engineer in the Engine Development team of LPSD Power System & Controls Development- India, you entail
- Lead complex projects and assignments for the end-to-end development of large diesel engines. This will involve Virtual engine installation, sub system routings and mounting design, testing and other analysis engineering tools to enable program decisions.
- Project management planning and updates. Perform needs analysis and initiate ideas, create/evaluate new processes, and perform complex analysis work, identify and solve challenging problems.
- Work with global teams to understand & formulate program requirements
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors / Master’s in Mechanical/Aeronautical/Automobile engineering from accredited Indian or Global Engineering schools.
- 2+ yrs. experience in engine components design & development, air & fuel system routings, mountings, engine and genset accessories.
- Good understanding of IC Engine fundamentals and working principle.
- Fatigue and Vibration concepts related to various Engine / Machine components and systems
- Experience in using Pro/E Creo, ANSYS, ABQUS, HyperMesh and SolidWorks.
- Proven capability in engine routings, installation, and mountings.
- Proven capability in diesel engine calibration and rating development process is added advantage.
- Experience in engine CFD (Converge/Ansys/Star CCM etc.) is added advantage.
- Ability to communicate technical/commercial information effectively with team members and others in work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
- Flexible to travel globally which is of 10% of the work
