Position Responsibilities:

Supports the design, development and documentation of aircraft structural, non structural , payloads components from cradle to grave . .Creating design proposals , design documentation and high-level requirements to downstream users/customers . Performs detail design development and modification of aircraft component installations. Preparing technical documents for mechanical components . Assists in supporting proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum 1 year to Maximum 10 years of experience .
  • Experience of working in mechanical design engineering preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • B.E., Mechanical Engineering, B.E., Aeronautical Engineering or higher or similar.
  • Working Experience in Catia V6 with GD&T Skills.
  • Material Selection Knowledge preferred.
  • Experience of working in Enovia , PDM will be added advantage.

Typical Education & Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 1 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Boeing India Engineering is currently looking for Experienced Mechanical Design & Analysis Engineerto join their team in Bangalore, Karnataka. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS) business organizations.

A successful candidate will understand the importance of collaboration and shall work with the Engineering Manager, Project lead & structural analysts to develop the mechanical designs that will work in defined structural environment, characteristics and performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • This position will be responsible to develop technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives.
  • In this role, the Engineer independently determines and develops approaches to solutions to come up with conceptual and detailed designs based on the requirements. And Pro-actively receives general direction for work that is reviewed upon completion for adequacy in meeting objectives and to successfully complete the statement of work.
  • Will participate in activities related to mechanical design, analysis and optimization of wide range of mechanical structures and products.
  • Completely understands and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts.
  • This position will be responsible for coordinating and communicating regularly with team members and engineering managers in Boeing organizations and shall provide periodic update on project progress, quality metrics, project summaries, and other related documents.
  • Develops, integrates and documents mechanical and structural system requirements to establish the system design
  • Develops, maintains, or modifies mechanical system, component and installation designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Engineering tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
  • This position will Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers and will represent the organization by providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.
  • This position will participate and support initiatives of Boeing India organization related to engineering excellence, employee development, customer engagement etc.
  • This position will be located in Boeing India Engineering and Technology Center, Bangalore, India.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor Or Master degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil disciplines
  • 10-14 Years of relevant Work experience.
  • Knowledge of structural design, mechanical design, material properties, awareness of Industry standards for structural and mechanical systems design.
  • Advanced knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., concurrent engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly [DFM/A]).
  • Knowledge of various engineering disciplines such as mechanical, electrical, electro-mechanical and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to communicate with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions to evaluate technical information and issues impacting design, production, and support of products, services, or other deliverables.
  • Knowledge and experience with engineering design tools (CATIA, ENOVIA, NX, CREO, TeamCenter PDM, etc) for Modeling, Drafting & Model Based Definition is essential.
  • Able to work under guidance with positive attitude and highest ethics.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Good knowledge of New Product development process.
  • Good understanding of aircraft certification processes and lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of stress analysis, structural design & mechanical design.
  • Thorough understanding of GD&T
  • Knowledge of PDM/PLM tools such as ENOVIA or Team Center.
  • Able to verify accuracy of technical and non-technical data. Gathers relevant data for root cause analysis and produces changes to resolve the discrepancies in design packages.
  • Must be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional team. Must be willing to work flexible hours (early or late as needed) to interface with Boeing personnel around the world.

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor, Master) and typically 9 to 14 years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+ 8 to 12 years’ related work experience etc.)
