Technical publication team is looking for a project engineer/design engineer who will be responsible for creating, updating and maintaining technical illustrations used in Instruction manuals, AIB, service manuals, web site
Job description
Technical Publication team is looking for a project engineer/design engineer in Technical Writers team who
- Lays out and draw illustrations for reproduction in technical manuals dealing with assembly, installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, and equipment:
- Prepare drawings from blueprints, designs, mockups, and photoprints by methods and techniques suited to specified reproduction process or final use
- Lays out and draws schematic, perspective, orthographic, or oblique-angle views to depict function, relationship, and assembly-sequence of parts and assemblies, such as gears, engines, and instruments.
- Shades or colors drawing to emphasize details or to eliminate undesired background
- Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering, Quality Analysis, Product Management, discussing client needs and identifying the target audience for the work
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking documentation work to meet product release dates and client deliverables.
- Publish and maintain illustration in respective platform, review the work produced by others ensuring a consistent “look and feel.”

What we expect of you?
Experience requirements
- 3-4 years of experience required in technical illustration.
- Experience creating illustration for mechanical domain
- Experience working with product information
- Attention to detail – high quality illustration
Knowledge
- Expert in Adobe illustrator, ISODraw, knowledge of 3D tools like inventor, Creo is plus
Educational requirements
- B.E. preferably in a technical field such as mechanical
Personality requirements
- Ability to thrive, without much oversight, in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment, creative
- Strong communications skills, including written, verbal and presentation.
- Well organized and able to operate independently
- A team player that will share information with colleagues and help develop the group
