This is a R&D Support Specialist role, reporting R&D Support Specialist in Business Area Electrification (EL) located in Hyderabad and will be responsible for working on business priority projects to defined scope, apply concepts to issues of moderate to high complexity and resolving issues through immediate action or short-term planning.

Your responsibilities

• Performing assigned tasks as per agreed timelines and expected level of quality.
• Supporting technical decision-making by providing inputs to senior members based on their individual scope of work, leverage prior work where appropriate.
• Recommending technical approach, required resources and scheduling interfaces with other Engineering Departments, Test Laboratories and Suppliers as required.
• Providing suitable directions to technicians & supplier teams as part of day to day activities within the project.
• Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to assure requirements are met.
• Communicating status and problems to project leaders and management.
• Performing documentation of technical design details & test results; participate in program reviews.
• Demonstrating curiosity and willing ness to learn more about ELSP products and enhance understanding of the technologies/techniques involved.

Your background

• BE/ Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-3 years of experience in R&D function in Electrical Industry, Low Voltage (LV) Circuit Breakers and Switchgear industry is preferred.
• Exposure to product design & development, quality, value engineering, & costing of products.
• Proficient in CAD Tools like Creo, CATIA V5, Pro/ENGINEER etc.
• Awareness of Simulation Tools like ANSYS, Pro-Mechanism etc.
• Basic awareness of circuit breakers technology, applicable regulatory standards and test requirements thereof.
• Enthusiastic team-player with a collaborative, solutions-oriented approach and good communication skills.
• Ability to work in teams and achieve targets in a global environment.
