You will be working as a Buyer and will be part of the Motion Business Area for IEC LV Division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to the Production Manager and will be responsible for ensuring the material availability and optimum inventory through effective material planning & procurement to meet customer demand.
Your responsibilities
- Practical exposure on product and manufacturing
- Working with basic material planning process – SAP knowledge and MRP Process
- Experience in Lean Tool knowledge/Implementation
- Responsible for PR, PO, Vendor code, part number, delivery and lead time
- Knowledge of basic tax/GST/Delivery terms/ Payment terms
- Working on problem anticipation, risk analysis and mitigation experience
- Approaching and taking actions towards business KPIs – OTD/PPM
Your background
- Engineering Graduate or Diploma in Electrical /Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement role
- Experience in new product development work related SCM activities, supplier sustainability programs and expertise in commercial aspects of contract management including taxations is preferred
- Strong Negotiation skills, contract and cost management.
- Ability to interact, communicate, collaborate and work effectively with all stakeholders – Global & Local cross-functional teams and suppliers
