Key Responsibilities

  • Project Delivery:
    • Deliver projects within cost, schedule, and quality targets.
    • Consistently meet business unit requirements for output and performance.
  • Mechanical Design:
    • Create detailed designs for assemblies and products considering manufacturing processes, materials, and technical standards.
    • Optimize existing systems to align with customer and market demands.
  • Documentation & Analysis:
    • Prepare technical documentation, risk analyses, and accurate mechanical drawings.
    • Develop bills of materials for procurement.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Innovate and enhance design processes, incorporating DFMA principles.
    • Suggest best practices for cross-functional collaboration and quality improvement.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Mentor team members and provide real-time insights for their development.
    • Engage with global teams to share knowledge and contribute to innovative solutions.
  • Manufacturing & Inspection:
    • Support manufacturing, assembly, tooling, and inspection activities.
    • Interact with customers and oversee machine inspections.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education:
    • BE/ME in Mechanical Engineering or allied branches.
  • Experience:
    • Proficiency in mechanical design, including sheet metal, casting, and machined parts manufacturing.
    • Knowledge of GD&T (ASME/EN standards) and materials like carbon and stainless steel.
    • Familiarity with heat treatment processes.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Expertise in CAD modeling, DFMA principles, and mechanical risk assessments.
    • Strong analytical abilities for design calculations and problem-solving.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
    • A team player with strong organizational capabilities.
