Job description

• Cab Climate System and HW is a part of CAB Technologies team within GTT, responsible for developing Systems and Components. CAB Climate team is also responsible for design and development of components such Chillers, HCVH and E-mob components.
• We are now looking for a Senior Engineer- Climate to take global responsibilities and participate in company-wide Climate Systems evolution in order to align the technology needs of all internal truck brands.

Role Description

• As an Senior Engineer, you will be involved in all engineering phases- from advanced engineering to concept generation, detailed development and industrialization. Other typical tasks include supporting global feature leaders in performing competitor vehicle analysis and performing Climate feature evaluations for various on-going projects across multiple brands.
• Your role will strengthen the Climate team and contribute to Volvo GTT vision within this area.
• Your role is cross-functional, which means you will drive Climate System within the whole Volvo GTT organization and closely cooperate with global cross functional teams within Volvo GTT.
• You should be able to take full engineering responsibility, independently deliver the tasks in Climate Tech area as well as guide junior staff within Climate Team.

Required Competencies

• BE/B Tech/ME/M Tech in Mechanical Engineering with more than 6 years of experience
• Should have experience in leading small teams.
• Should have excellent Cad skills (CATIA V5) for concept creation.
• Solid Hands on experience in Developing Climate Component and Systems.
• Should be aware of Advanced Technologies (e-MOB), 1D Simulations and Component material selection.
• Solid experience Climate component and system Testing.
• Should have knowledge of Plastic Components manufacturing
• Should be good in compiling and presenting information verbally and in writing.
• Should have knowledge of Global standards for different markets.
• Innovative and creative mindset to provide engineering solutions and concepts.
• Should be enthusiastic to learn and implement new software and technologies as per project requirements.
• Knowledge of vehicle architecture.
• PDM link knowledge is a merit.
• Working knowledge in PDMLINK , CREO preferred
• Knowledge in Volvo systems preferred.
