Aerodynamic & Mechanical > Nacelle Module > Nacelle Lifecycle Management

Nacelle LCM is part of the Nacelle module, which is responsible for all Post development of the Base frame, Yaw system, Cover, Cooling and conditioning, Structure and internal, Transport, Construction, and maintenance. The LCM department is working across the Nacelle module to secure world-class quality in both development and processes.
The NAC Module is international with departments in Denmark, Portugal, China and India

Responsibilities

  • Mostly focus on project-specific design Customization for Nacelle
  • Understanding the scope & act accordingly to implement that
  • Clarifying design requirements with all relevant stakeholders
  • Align concept and detailed design with interfacing modules and submodules
  • Obtaining, modifying, and optimizing CAD geometries to match the requirements
  • Propel design and design changes through our Change Management system
  • Collaborating with the Engineers, Project Managers & all other stakeholders working in your area
  • Create and maintain documentation for the design
  • Deliver the design within the agreed timeline
  • Support to meet the constant opportunity of designing larger and more complex WTG structures
  • Work and act as part of a team sharing knowledge, achievements, and failures as part of one unit

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s / Master’s in Mechanical / Structural / Aerospace / Similar engineering
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant Wind Turbine experience in the design & development of the dynamic mechanical system
  • Engineering Change Management (ECM)
  • Knowledge of ISO standards related to mechanical component design Systems engineering experience

  • Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we use in our workflow
  • Can develop innovative solutions to the tasks we face when performing the tasks
  • Including the development or introduction of new tools and processes into our workflow
  • Have a solid understanding of mechanical systems
  • Model new and change existing CAD models
  • Efficiently communicate with the Engineers, Project Managers & all other stakeholders
  • Succeed as part of a team and it comes naturally for you to collaborate and share knowledge
  • Have the patience to listen to, understand and respect your colleagues
  • Are committed to working the state-of-the-art in Wind Turbine CAD technology
  • Like to work with complex engineering problems and have a creative approach to new opportunities
  • Experience with Creo and PDM Link and Jira
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum)
  • Have good problem-solving skills and be able to supervise sub-projects and be able to meet deadlines
  • Be process oriented and have a structured way to work
