Aerodynamic & Mechanical – Hub Module – Hub Quality & TC
Describe the Department
Hub TC department is part of Hub module. Hub TC team is responsible for process and tool design for transportation, installation and service of components in Hub module. This team consists of six employees located in Chennai and Denmark.
Responsibilities
- Structural analysis of transportation, installation and service tools using ANSYS
- Hand calculation of simple engineering problems
- Reporting of FE results and getting it approved from functional leads
- Recommend design solutions based on FEA results to designers
- Deliver analysis results on-time within estimated budget
- Establish FE guidelines for designers
- Mentoring of design engineers in FEA whenever needed
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical/Production/Automobile Engineering
- 5-8 years of experience in FE analysis using ANSYS
- Wind Turbine OEM experience is good to have
- Manufacturing knowledge in welding is good to have
- Six sigma certification is good to have
Competencies
- Self-driven
- Good problem-solving skills
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work with stakeholders across departments globally
