Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DRDO-GTRE CARS Funded Project in School of Mechanical Engineering (SMEC) Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT),Tamil Nadu

“ Effectiveness of Leading Edge Film Cooling Applied to First Stage Stator blade Row of Gas Turbine Engine- A Numerical Study ”

Qualification

Essential: ME/M.Tech/MS in Fluid and Thermal, Aerospace engineering, Propulsion, Computational Mechanics or related fields

Desirable:

• Sound knowledge of Fluid Dynamics, Gas Turbine Theory and Heat Transfer
• Strong and demonstrated experience in theoretical and numerical study of compressible flows.
• Experience in hexahedral mesh generation and simulations using Ansys Fluent.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Stipend

Rs. 20,000 / pm consolidated for a period of 2 years
