- MISSION(S)
The CAD Mechanical Engineer :
- Realize R&D Tasks: design justification, conception files, design defined by his CAD team Leader & Site requesters
- Design the necessary 3D models and drawings in the Design office and Project teams.
- Make a stack-up analysis and to manage products’ BOMs (bills of materials)
- Ensure the respect of best practice and standards, establish and capitalize on new standards when applicable
- ATTRIBUTIONS GENERALES
- The Mechanical Senior Engineer tasks for the components under his responsibility:
- Within the assigned perimeter given by his team leader, design the product following Valeo rules and standards
- Identify risks and shares them with his team leader, including product-related risks, planning deviations, or delivery date shifts
- Ensure management of JRMS (traceability matrix, follow up, update)
- Participate in QRQC & Red Bow daily meeting
- Contribute to the design rules improvement and to the design office efficiency plan
- Ensure TMS filling in time (weekly basis)
- Detailed design of the components, including:
- Drawings, models, CAD files
- Geometry, materials, stack-up analysis
- Definition files for the tooling
- Contribute to innovation (Ideas data base, patents, brainstorming)
- Manages the relationship with requesters for the part under its responsibility
- The validation process of drawings and 3D models, including the PLM process
- CIP (Constant Innovation Policy), QRQC, FMEA, LLC
As a team member (in project mode):
- Contribute to design reviews of other components not under his direct responsibility
- Contribute to innovation (Ideas data base, patents, brainstorming)
- Manages the relationship with Valeo manufacturing for the part under its responsibility
- Contribute to Design FMEA

Position – ENGINEER CAD

Responsibilities
In relation to the Product Technical Engineer / Leader / Manager of the related project(s):
- Build 2D drawings with functional dimensions according to ISO standard.
- Define and identify functional and critical characteristics.
- Develop innovative and reliable solutions that fulfill specifications.
- Design a 3D model and prepare definition files for products, prototypes, and test means.
- Apply CAD methodologies and deliver CAD data that pass Q-Checker.
- Manage the Product definition file into the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) database.

Scope of work
- As a domain expert for mechanical engineering, the Lead mechanical engineer (LME) is responsible for the development and realization of all mechanical elements of the (sub-) system project.
- Ensure maturity level according milestone (CLEAN). Establish detail break down of the activities to meet the milestones. Ensure progress in development by using LOP and also usage of VSeA Tools and Methods (e.g. FTA, PDCA, 5W2H, QRQC,…)
- Define and evaluate mechanical concepts & designs.
- Creation of mechanical specifications & requirements.
