Position – Sr. Production Executive

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Protection of employee’s health and safety by meeting legislative requirements, providing instruction in regard to safety procedures and ensuring compliance of all regulatory and plant safety rules.
  • Accountable for general supervisory coverage. Includes schedule coordination, labour / crewing, safety, quality, site security, and behavioural management.
  • Accountable for the productivity of the departments. Includes provision of some technical expertise, contacting appropriate resources for issue resolution, providing alternative duties in the event of breakdown or material shortage, monitoring general performance and behavior of employees, and adjusting crewing or call in replacements as necessary.
  • Maintaining good union-management relations by ensuring correct administration of the Collective Agreement and use of a proactive problem solving approach.
  • Active participation in leading the rollout of WCM- World class management activities to all areas of the facility.
  • Facilitate required training programs to employees.
  • Ensure employees follow all GMP rules and Unilever Consumer Safety standards using HACCP as the main control tool.
  • Regularly cascading/communicating Site targets and goals from the Leadership Team to shift crews, consistently and accurately.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POSITION:

The successful candidate is a “team player” who can also work independently possessing a Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical engineering degree. A working background and knowledge of plant/equipment production and processing methods and procedures (i.e. HACCP, GMP) is wit at least 3 years’ experience is preferred. Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, computer literacy and problem-solving skills are essential. Knowledge and experience of WCM will be considered an asset. Fundamental to the success of the candidate in this role will be the need to demonstrate the following Unilever Competencies: Strategic Influencing, Developing Self and Others and Change Catalyst.

This role requires the incumbent to work shifts, including nights and weekends.
