Purpose of Role: An individual contributor working on electromechanical parts and assemblies of the battery systems with cross functional team interactions.
Role Description:
- Hands on experience in electro mechanical design of lithium ion battery packs
- Material selection to meet safety, functional and cost requirements
- Tolerance stack-up analysis and knowledge of ASME Y14.5 dimensioning, tolerancing and engineering drawing practice
- Standard BOM preparation (Part & assembly level)
- Component placement, assembly of mounting of BMS, PCB
- Design of enclosures for automotive vibrations rating, drop tests
- Design of cell holder and module layout for cylindrical cells, pouch, prismatic
- Design of cell connections, busbar, cell welding and insulators
Required Competencies:
- CREO Modelling
- Drafting (Sheet metal, plastics, cabling)
- ANSYS (CAE)
- GD&T
- Battery pack design
- Battery thermal system
Educational Qualifications: B Tech Mechanical/ Mechatronics
Additional Qualifications: CATIA, CREO, ANSYS, DFMEA, HARA
