POSITION SUMMARY
Engineer in this position provides technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principle, theories, and concepts in the field is required. He/she works under only general direction. Independently determines and develops approach to solutions. Work is reviewed upon completion for adequacy, in meeting objectives. Incumbent contributes to the completion of specific programs and projects. He/she represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
The Materials and Processes Engineer will be an experienced subject matter expert in composite and structural bonding materials and processes. The role encompasses all aspects of our product’s lifecycle, including new product development, production support, and field support.

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Provide design guidance for aircraft material selection and processing
  • Develop and maintain material and process specifications
  • Create test plans and technical reports
  • Support internal production (i.e., manufacturing, quality, training, etc.)
  • Support supply chain (i.e., facility qualifications, first article qualifications, etc.)
  • Perform failure analysis and testing of materials

  • B.E/B.Tech, M.E/M.S/M.Tech, or PhD degree required in one of the following:
    • Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering with emphasis on composites.
    • Materials Science and Engineering with emphasis on composites
  • 5+ years engineering experience related to job responsibilities is required
  • Knowledge of composite classical lamination theory, statistical analysis or experience in the aerospace industry is a plus
  • Strong sense of accountability and integrity
  • Professional and diplomatic demeanor
  • Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to manage projects of various size and scope.
  • Must be proficient in MS Office
