Position – Asst. Manager-Supplier Quality (Metallurgist)

Job description
This position will involve in casting requirement for MVP models and controlling current casting related issues , Various VSI models parts development, inspection support during assembly and Customer support .
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Study the drawings
- Specification review and discussion with Engg
- PPAP documentation coordination with all casting suppliers
- Prototype inspection – Dimensional / NDT
- Study of methoding, heat treatment processes and microstructure analysis
- Addressing assembly issues related to the new parts
Experience & Qualifications:
- B.E. Mechanical Engineering (preferably in Metallurgy) with 5- 8 years of experience in Foundry & Forging plants
- Strong metallurgical knowledge in castings, forgings, and structural steels
- Good technical expertise in Foundry & forging practices
- Hands-on Experience in Dimensional and NDT inspection
- Experience in various types of the heat treatment process
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Clear understanding of drawings with GD&T
- Understanding of foundry and forging processes
- Clear understanding of the Heat treatment terminologies and its uses
- Problem solving skills with knowledge of 8D report methodology
- Creativity and innovative thinking.
- Good English communication skill, both written and spoken
- Good Presentation and interpersonal skills
