JOB STATEMENT

This position will provide mechanical engineering drafting to fulfill the requirements for the Global Engineering Department. Incumbent works primarily with customization designs for Customer orders and quotations, product care design tasks and technical support to manufacturing and other Engineered Products Engineering teams globally. Cooperation with Product Management, Quality, Procurement and Engineering units both locally and globally will be part of the daily tasks.


JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work towards meeting global Business Line KPIs
  • Utilize Operational Engineering standards, work flow processes, and software to facilitate timely, accurate engineering data and drawings
  • Identify opportunities for upgrading and improving customer equipment and processes
  • Update formal engineering specifications for equipment or parts.
  • Creates 3D models utilizing Metso Outotec current design software.
  • Creates manufacturing drawings, based on standard designs and calculations.
  • Assisting with problems regarding assembly or parts incorrectly fabricated etc.
  • Assist with drawing up General Arrangements for customers and detailing necessary items not in existence.
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Performs basic strength evaluations/calculations.
  • Maintain drawing/Vault database, Key user.
  • Perform documented product safety review as a part of the daily design process
  • Harmonization of existing drawings with Metso Outotec guidelines and standards
  • Maintains good order and efficiency in his/her work.
  • Takes part in design reviews.
  • Identifies needs for design changes from production requirements as well as quality and procurement needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • ITI / DME with Minimum 3 – 5 years’ experience in design and drafting of Heavy Industry Equipment.
  • Experience with mining and construction plant design, preferred.
  • Competent with 2D CADM and 3D CAD software (AutoDesk Inventor & AutoCAD Mechanical & others as required)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Experience on taking and supporting decisions of engineering experts for all related disciplines, including the integration of non-core disciplines
  • Proficiency in English, both written and communicated.

JOB STATEMENT

This position will provide technical problem solving and application support to the Engineered Products business line, globally through application of Engineering knowledge and principles.

The incumbent will work closely with the global business through application of Engineering principles to increase business executional efficiencies by:

  • Part Creation in the Business systems
  • Product Data Maintenance
  • Part Harmonization
  • Drawing digitalization and cataloging
  • Master Data Cleansing

The position will work to maintain and enhance the reputation for providing consistently accurate and on-time engineering designs and Data to Metso’s client base and support the global engineering teams.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare mechanical drawings to facilitate fabrication, construction, and installing for equipment or services to refurbish, upgrade, or retrofit.
  • Apply mechanical engineering knowledge, principles, and best practices to meet customer requirements and specifications.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline.
  • 2-5 years’ experience in engineering/technical environment preferred.
  • Experience with mining and construction plant design, preferred.
  • Competent with 2D CADM and 3D CAD software (AutoDesk Inventor & AutoCAD Mechanical & others as required)
  • Competent with Engineering and ERP systems (Vault EDM, SAP & others as required)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Experience on taking and supporting decisions of engineering experts for all related disciplines, including the integration of non-core disciplines to Metso.
