Position – FEA Engineer

Job description
- Implementation and evaluation of strength calculations with NASTRAN,ABAQUS, and Altair Hyperworks
- Content and time planning of calculation tasks according to customer specifications
- Design finding/design optimization with results from calculations
- Creation of FE meshes
- Creation of input decks with boundary conditions and load cases
- Mesh adaptation using CATIA or the CAD functions of the Hypermesh preprocessor
- Execution of structural linear and nonlinear FEA evaluations with Hyperworks postprocessor
- Evaluation of FEA stresses against limit values and evaluation of the validity range of linear and nonlinear calculations
- Implementation of vibration simulations
- Evaluation of all results with the client and, if applicable, customers
- Successfully completed engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering, physics or comparable
- Very good knowledge of technical mechanics, higher mathematics and vibration analysis methods
- Understanding of the mathematical fundamentals of vibrations and their simulation as well as rigid body movements and their simulation
- Understanding of the differences between linear and nonlinear calculation approaches regarding plasticization, contact, large displacements and rotations
- Communication skills and fluent language skills in English
- Personal initiative
- Solid knowledge of NASTRAN, ABAQUS, and Hyperworks. Programming knowledge is an advantage
- Knowledge of the common MS Office programs
Required Skills
Must be experienced in Hypermesh tool, MSC Nastran, ABAQUS or equivalent FEA software.
Required Experience
BE/ME with 3-5 Years of Experience with strong knowledge in FEA and Engineering fundamentals.
