Job description

Support Lead engineers in requirements gathering of a product and create Product Requirements documents and Design Objectives
Handle portions of work in New Product development from Requirements phase to Production phase.
Support Lead engineers in engineering documentation of NPD projects
Create Concepts and detail design using design and development tools such as DFEMA, Tolerance Analysis, DFM, etc
Coordinate with labs to ensure product testing, design validation testing and certification according to international standards
Work on the design and documentation of precision stamped and Injection moulded electro-mechanical component assemblies
Ensure Design is ideal from Manufacturability and Assembly standpoints
Work on Design to Value (DTV) projects for existing product lines to bring down cost and increase product competitiveness.
Evaluate manufacturing deviations and make decisions on deviation acceptance.
Create & edit designs and specifications to facilitate manufacturing and new product extensions.
Work with Product Lifecycle Management and Engineering documentation and change management systems
Address product enquiries and product complaints arising for responsible products

Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
3-5 years of experience in an Interconnect, Consumer Electronics, Automotive, Appliances Industry or a reputed Design House
Able to utilize MCAD tools – Creo for drawing updates and 3D model generation.
Knowledge of Lean Product Development Cycle and Processes
Good knowledge of materials like resins, metal, and plating
Proven Ability to transform Voice of Customer into Technical Specifications
Ability to communicate effectively and accurately across multi-cultural groups
Should be Self-Motivated, Adaptive, Passionate about results and a Good Team Player
Demonstrated Experience of working in a fast-paced and changing environment with the ability to work to tight deadlines
Knowledge of Global Certifications and Regulatory Standards (UL, IEC, etc) will be an added advantage.
