Job Description

• Providing technical guidance to quality assurance group at Cold Rolling Mill, TSK in design,
• Development and implementation of quality assurance (QA) system at CRM, in order to confirm that the first time the right quality of material goes to the customer and reduction in generation of non-conforming products.
• Developing people capabilities and enhancing technical capabilities of the entire Quality assurance team at CRM This would include cold rolled full hard & CRCA product requirements, inquiry, product feasibility, and ‘Start of Production’ requirements to be handled from all stakeholders including M&S, PAG, and Oprn.
• To develop a QA system for CRM TSK to achieve the lowest internal rejections, Scrap, and customer complaints.
• To develop new products and processes as required by the business within the stipulated timeframe at CRM TSK
• To analyze, propose, and drive CAPAs (in collaboration with operations): On internal rejections, Operations downtime to product or process issues, customer complaints.
• Interaction with the SPC team to resolve quality issues pertaining to Salvaging Remarks.
• To develop & implement testing and inspection plan for product & process and raw materials.
• To ensure Safety at CRM TSK by formulating SOPs, Chemical testing storage & handling plans, Samples storage –handling-testing plans.
• Planning TS certification, customer audits, internal audits at the same time ensuring compliance at CRM to set procedures/norms.
• To upgrade systems & equipment for CRM TSK ( Setting up new equipment for CRM)
• Planning activities related to expansion (Capturing market requirement, transferring them into output, machine selection, and execution) and other new projects.
• Carry out process and product audits as per the defined schedule – liaisoning with PAG for understanding customer requirements and translate these into product attributes Educational qualifications: BE/BTech/ME/ MTech in Metallurgy or Mechanical Relevant experience: Min 5 years exp in Operations/ Technology Group/ Quality Assurance in Cold rolling mill.
