Job description

Desired Candidate Profile

• Qualification – Graduate in Engineering –Mechanical / Industrial Production
• Experience – 3-5 years in Mechanical Engineering Design

Key deliverables of the role

• Work with Local GSM and SQE team to develop and improve new and existing Hand Tool product suppliers for Process review, approval, and production implementation
• Proactively work with vendors to follow product localization schedule, resolve quality or process issues, ensure project schedule and milestone processes are effectively carried out, and product CTQs are within expectations.
• New product Design & development, Value Engg, Design of Mechanical Parts in Creo /Pro E (2d & 3d), PLM
• Work with global Engineering and Product team to define product specs, product design, Prototyping, manufacturing review, and produce improvements
• Work with test lab to perform product qualification and validation test

• Must have an attitude to explore unknowns, learn by self and collaborate with fellow colleagues
• Knowledge of engineering fundamentals, materials and their applications, manufacturing processes for Machining, sheet metal, casting, forging, injection molding, heat treatment processes
• Relevant experience with modeling in Creo / Pro-E, drafting, GD&T Symbols & applications.FMEA, DFM, DFA, Setting up BOM in PLM
• Physical parts Dimensioning, correlations with ideas or concepts,
• Should be able to work with outside suppliers to review manufacturing process, debug component manufacturing issues, and work with global engineering team members in other locations to find out root causes, and solve problems
• Should have good communications skills to work with Global Team Members.
• Should be able to work with Test Lab to develop, review and correct test procedures, test results. Resolve Test data discrepancy, and find out root cause, and implement corrective actions if needed.
• Should have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, word, Power Points
• Proficiency in Creo CAD software an added advantage
