CribMaster is a software company within Stanley Black & Decker that manages Tool Cribs in manufacturing facilities. Using both software and machinery, CribMaster manages the relationship between distributors of consumable products and the tool crib in the manufacturing industry. CribMaster has 30+ years of experience, is headquartered in Marietta, GA with offices in Brussels, Belgium and manufacturing and distribution in Georgia, France, and Australia.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Mechanical Engineer coordinates all facets of Product Development projects from idea to product release to market.
  • Experienced in achieving goals on time and on budget.
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Windchill, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Asana or similar PPM tool.
  • Innovate, prototype and test new concepts and mechanisms used in automated inventory control systems.
  • Work with an interdisciplinary team of electrical and software engineers to define, design, and develop electro-mechanical industrial smart storage equipment according to product specifications or assignment goals.
  • Coordinate development with internal and external resources.
  • Ideate ideas, create drawings, renderings, bill of materials, test specifications, engineering change notices, etc.; and assist with creating work instructions, manuals, etc.
  • Check and analyze design tolerances for motion, fit, pneumatic design, stress, forces, etc.
  • Support full product lifecycle through the product development and commercialization process including testing, documentation, manufacturing build, and customer feedback response.
  • Ensures that all designs, engineering drawings, parts lists, and related documents are accurate, up to date, and comply with drawing standards.
  • Provide design and technical support to patent attorneys, write up abstracts and claims

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems, sheet metal design rotating assemblies, power transmission, gearing, bearings, fits, finishes, material selection and geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T), Injection molding, machining, and manufacturing principals; hands-on machining experience a plus.
  • Experience designing in 3-D CAD, and creating 2D drawings (Creo)
  • Strong background with
  • Ability to deal with high-pressure situations and resolve issues as they occur
  • Effective at performing detail-oriented tasks and data analysis
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills to manage functions at various levels
  • Self-motivated individual with the desire to succeed and motivate others
  • Strong sense of urgency with a demonstrated record of aggressively meeting commitments
  • Able to quickly identify the root cause of problems and develop corrective action plans
  • Demonstrated experience using MS Office products, specifically, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

EDUCATION AND TRAINING

Minimum of 5 years Mechanical Engineering experience

  • BS or equivalent (4 years) in Mechanical Engineering, from accredited engineering college
  • 3D Modeling, Creo preferred.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • SAP experience preferred
