Job Description
(Pre-Order phase)
- • Ensure selection, sizing, and on-time delivery of competitive techno-commercial project proposals against Request for Quotations for Mechanical Sealing Solutions (Seals and Seal Support systems)
- • Review, Interpret and Establish project specific requirements in collaboration with Global Stakeholders, from tender documents including but not limited to:
- • Instructions to Bidders, Equipment Datasheets, Material Requisition, P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Drawings), instrument Hook Up, Logical diagrams, key delivery dates, applicable INCOTERMS, and other contractual terms & conditions
- • Manage Techno-Commercial clarifications, Exceptions and Deviations
- • Co-ordinate with Project Application and Global Engineering teams to obtain sign off for non-standard or special applications as necessary
- • Manage techno-commercial scope for Seal Support systems (Auxiliary Systems) internally through Fluid Control teams
- •Provide investment case analysis and margin summary to Global Project Sales Managers from time to time
(Post order phase)
- • Contract review and Order acknowledgment against purchase orders
- • Release clear techno-commercial order handover to Engineering and Global operations
- • Ensure efficient support on techno-commercial queries or conflicts arising through the Project Delivery office during the execution phase, where necessary
Duties & Responsibilities
What you’ll do –
- • Working knowledge of product selection, sizing, and Engineering of mechanical seal and Seal support systems or related products
- • Hands-on experience in maintaining rotating equipment or their auxiliary system will be an added advantage
- • Working knowledge in review and interpretation of project specifications from OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturers), EPC and End users will be an added advantage
- • Working Knowledge of API (American Petroleum Institute) 682 & API 610 is advantageous
The Individual
What you’ll definitely need –
- • Typical Industrial background: Typically, 1 to 3 years of experience in various Process industries including Oil and Gas, Chemical, Petroleum, Petrochemical industries, etc., or in industries supplying equipment like Pumps, Compressors, Seals or associated auxiliary equipment to such process industries
- • Typical Functional Experience: Experience in Selection, sizing, and Bidding of Engineered products such as Mechanical Seals, Seal Support Systems or similar
- • Good hands-on experience in the design, installation, or maintenance of products like Mechanical seals or Seal support systems will be an added advantage.
- • Working experience in an International environment and knowledge of foreign cultures will be advantageous • Team player with excellent Collaboration & Influencing skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- • Ability to manage Time under conflicting priorities
- • Customer service and results-oriented Must be a quick learner with good technical and problem-solving skills
- • Good functional experience and skills with MS Office tools like Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.
