Your new role – challenging and future-oriented
Identify/support cost reduction measures in product design, production methods and procurement processes by evaluating new or existing suppliers in order to bring driven advantages for the business
Drive product cost out opportunities with close alignment with sales, operations, procurement, and engineering
Develop relationships with key partners as well as suppliers to collect market intelligence
Capture and analyze information on supplier capabilities, cost structure and production systems
Review engineering design requirements to analyze product facilitate process improvement, supplier selection and evaluation activities, and risk management
Proactively handle and facilitate multiple projects at the same time with varying complexity in design and production methods

Engineering degree with concentration in mechanical, industrial, electrical, or systems engineering
5+ year confirmed experience in gas turbine and/or turbo compressor package design
Experience in value engineering, target costing and design-to-cost analysis
Ability to understand cost drivers and product cost optimization methods
Flexibility to work in virtual office environment and adjusted office hours to support project teams globally
Strong communication and presentation skills, 10% domestic or international travel required
Experience in modular design of gas turbine or compressor modules
Fundamental understanding of end to end supply chain, project management, and project life cycle management, Understanding of engineering documents like functional specification, fabrication drawings, quality and purchasing requirement documents Strong negotiation skills,
