Position – Engineer_Manufacturing_MBOM

Segula Technologies
Location – Chennai, Tamil Nadu

Create and maintain the Manufacturing Bill of Material in SAP in accordance with Engineering BOM inputs, Assembly process, and other production inputs.
Ensure data consistency to ensure that vehicles built are consistent with the features list and to avoid disturbances in the Production line due to parts missing in MBOM or wrong data.
Collaborate with the Design engineer to ensure the quality of MBOM.
Pilot and attend scheduling meetings with all the departments involved in change processes.
Release EC Notice to all stakeholders to inform about MBOM changes.
Lead the audit of Engineering BOMs vs Manufacturing BOM, noting significant errors that may result in shortages or cost discrepancies, communicating as appropriate to update Engineering BOM as required
Support Change Management Meetings, liaising with Change Coordinator to effect changes into BOM once approved.
Support Engineering, Procurement, Manufacturing, Marketing, and planning to identify and resolve product configuration control issues.

Create and maintain the Engineering Bill of Material in PLM in accordance with Engineering inputs, for individual parts, sub-assemblies, and finished products.
Interpret simple to complex product and assembly structures with correct parts in order to build accurate BOMs.
Ensure data consistency to ensure that vehicles built are consistent with the features list and to avoid disturbances in the Production line due to parts missing in BOM or wrong data.
Liaise with the codification engineer and ensure correct parts are applied for the correct variant and EBOM is complete for all the diversities.
Review new Codes and parts very well to ensure they are complete and accurate, prior to releasing them.
Pilot and attend decision meeting with all the departments involved in change processes, to effect changes into EBOM once the ECR’s are approved.
Publish management reports & KPI’s on BOM progress and robustness.
Lead the audit of Engineering BOMs vs Product & Engineering definition, noting significant errors that may result in shortages or cost discrepancies, and update Engineering BOM appropriately.

Conducting change implementation meeting and Coordination with all CFT team to achieve zero obsolescence and on-time adoption
Validating engineering change notes and proceeding for adoption by updating proper M-BOM structure.
Implementation of cost reduction idea by coordinating with CFT member
Coordinating with all relevant team for smooth design change implementation inline (Process Engineering, Production, Quality assurance & Packaging)
Confirm off tool & off process status of parts and report
Ensure part readiness and delivery to plant on MRD for Pre-build activity.
New ECN Changes & implementing it within the Customer Specified target time.
Evaluating the impact on both make-or-buy decisions based on Planning
