Position – Quality Support Engineer

Location – Pune, Maharashtra

Scope

To ensure on-time completion of Quality check in Metallurgy & Dimensional lab as per specification
To implement RTPS Initiatives
To ensure QA & Metallurgical conformance in all manufacturing processes of PU

Main responsibilities to handle in this position

Ensure Safe Working practices as per Sandvik EHS Policies & guidelines
Ensure & Control Sample cutting, Preparation activity required for Metallography inspection
Adherence to Special process Control plan for taking the samples & making them ready for inspection as per defined frequency & Specification
Perform Incoming Steel, Bought out item inspection as per specification
Perform Incoming / Final inspection of the product as per specification
Maintain a high level of housekeeping & Maintenance of Metallurgical Laboratory equipment
Identification, Storage of the Metallurgy samples as per QMS standard
Ensure 5S in the work area.
To get confirmed the IMTEs calibrated as per schedule from Internal / External calibration Lab
Ensure proper calibration of Gauges & Measuring equipment being used for day to day activities
Maintain Internal documentation as per QMS Guideline

Diploma from Metallurgical or Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Metallurgical Laboratory from a Manufacturing Engineering industry.

Hands-on experience in Metallurgy Laboratory for Sample preparation
Understanding of Drawings & Specifications
Good understanding about Metrology instruments such as Vernier, micrometer etc.
EHS awareness
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PPT
Latest trends in Metallurgical processes & Inspection methods
Ability & exposure to dimensional quality control, process controls & statistics will be an added advantage.
