Job description
Job Purpose
- The Project Engineer will work on Mechanical designs and drawings for Orders/Product Development/Standardization work varying in complexity related to the Electromechanical Products.
- Prioritize multiple tasks and ensure proper support during the production stage.
- Deliver & execute the assigned work on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
- Review customer specifications and check compliance of the same with RA products, if any changes observed those needs to be highlighted for deviations from customers.
- Ensure technical deliverables matches the requirements. Save engineering cost through application & technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
Do
- Be the focal point in the region/country for the different product range, of which he/she is the technical expert regarding resolution development, questions, and information transfer.
- Coordinate and document design of sub systems and integration of total system. Identify, analyzes, and resolved program support deficiencies
- Technical Solutions – Review with the customer his requirements and propose technical solutions that will make the project successful
- Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of total system.
- Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction
- Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team’s capabilities.
- Support Team Leader / Lead Engineer on technical issues.
- Work closely with Team Leader / Lead Engineer to guarantee customer acceptance.
- Strong knowledge of CREO, ACAD, and SAP/PLM Experience
- Ensure project implementation follows the engineering delivery standard.
- Maximize reusable standard product and engineering in project delivery.
- Ensure proper product and application information flow to the sales force and channels. Acts as the technical product expert to support the sales organization.
- Work with Team Leader to clarify technical issues.
- Cost reduction through process improvement, and through development of reusable engineering or engineering standard.
- Actively seek out and participate in both formal and informal training opportunities to continuously develop technical skills
- Understanding and apply engineering standards ASME, NEMA, IEC
Oversee
- Ensure 100% meet technical items defined in project / work package.
- Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of RA engineering standards.
- Maximize reusable standard product and engineering in project / work package delivery.
- Support Team Leader in managing team performance, develop self and team capability and motivate the team.

Job Related Competencies
- Project Engineers should have a wide variety of skills to be able to perform all facets of the project from start to end (Project Management, Mechanical Design/Drafting, Customer Communication, etc.)
- Review with the customer on his requirements and propose technical solutions that will make the project successful
- Perform new design or modify existing designs in Creo Parametric based on electromechanical principles.
- Must be very good hands on 2D & 3D ACAD, CREO software’s and have a knowledge of SAP/PLM (Windchill)
- Hands on knowledge for CAE / Analysis software like ANSYS
- Understanding of Product lifecycle management.
- Provides complete and detailed CAD models required of all parts and assembles to produce the finished product.
- Thorough understanding of common manufacturing processes applicable for Sheetmetal, plastic and knowledge of PPAP
- GD&T/ASME Y14.5, tolerance stack-up, design verification and analysis methods, Welding process and DFMEA.
- Thorough understanding of product sealing, Ingress protection and other electromechanical regulatory testing standards like IEC/NEMA.
- Drives design decisions and is comfortable working as the sole mechanical contributor as part of a much larger engineering team.
- Lead a small team and address technical queries
- Ensure technical deliverables matches project / work package requirements. Save engineering cost for GEC team through application & technical expertise
- Update designs of components and subsystems to improve manufacturability, performance, quality, and cost
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production/Automobiles Engineering
- 4-6 years of relevant experience in Industrial Automation based Mechanical Design
