JOB DETAILS

Job Purpose

  • The Manufacturing Engineer will work on NC programming, Part Setup QTIP BOMtech, and Release of Orders/Product Development/Standardization parts varying in complexity related to the Electromechanical Products.
  • Prioritize multiple tasks and ensure proper support during the production stage.
  • Deliver & execute the assigned work on time with good quality, cost-effectiveness, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review customer specifications and check compliance of the same with RA products, If any changes are observed those need to be highlighted for deviations from customers.
  • Ensure technical deliverables match the requirements. Save engineering costs through application & technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

Do

  • Be the focal point in the region/country for the different product ranges, of which he/she is the technical expert regarding resolution development, questions, and information transfer.
  • Coordinate and document the design of sub-systems and integration of the total system. Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies
  • Technical Solutions – Review with the customer his requirements and propose technical solutions that will make the project successful
  • Coordinate design of subsystems and integration of the total system.
  • Deliver & execute the assigned projects on time with good quality/ cost-effectiveness and customer satisfaction
  • Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practices with other team members to improve the team’s capabilities.
  • Support Team Leader / Lead Engineer on technical issues.
  • Work closely with Team Leader / Lead Engineer to guarantee customer acceptance.
  • Strong knowledge of NC programming, Sheet metal Manufacturing process, CREO, ACAD, and SAP/PLM Experience
  • Ensure project implementation follows the engineering delivery standard.
  • Maximize reusable standard products and engineering in project delivery.
  • Ensure proper product and application information flow to the sales force and channels. Acts as the technical product expert to support the sales organization.
  • Work with the Team Leader to clarify technical issues.
  • Cost reduction through process improvement, and through the development of reusable engineering or engineering standards.
  • Actively seek out and participate in both formal and informal training opportunities to continuously develop technical skills
  • Understanding and applying engineering standards ASME, NEMA, IEC

Oversee

  • Ensure 100% meet technical items defined in the project/work package.
  • Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of RA engineering standards.
  • Maximize reusable standard product and engineering in project/work package delivery.
  • Support Team Leader in managing team performance, developing self and team capability, and motivating the team.

Job-Related Competencies

  • Manufacturing engineering support for manufacturing operations such as NC programming, Sheet metal Manufacturing process, Forming process, Fabrication, Part Setup in SAP
  • Design and implement manufacturing processes for Rockwell Automation products in an Engineered to Order environment. Lead small to large projects varying in complexity, with focused improvements in safety, productivity, quality, and delivery.
  • Maintain process design control and effectively implement standard work instructions and training. Responsible for daily production support and resolution of product and process issues. Effectively implement product changes into the manufacturing system and ensure timely disposition of inventory. Support global production sites to achieve process standardization and share best practices. Ensure that manufacturing processes provide the highest quality product at the lowest cost.
  • Assist production personnel in downtime resolution, quality of products produced, and safety practices.
  • Identify and implement manufacturing cost reductions and productivity improvements.
  • Investigate, solve, and report on manufacturing problems using continuous Lean practices and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Identify assembly equipment, tooling, and fixture requirements. Participate in the procurement, installation, and validation activities.
  • Effectively work on multiple projects in a team environment.
  • Conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality, and environmental regulations (ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production/Automobiles Engineering
  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in Industrial Automation based Mechanical Design
