Job description

Job Responsibilities :
Responsible for supporting the Lead Panel engineer for the smooth and safe operation of the OT Panel through the DCS control system. Assisting Lead Panel engineer in preparing reports, reviewing SOPs, Work Instructions, OMPRO, and override systems.
- 100% compliance with procedures and standards.
- Compliance with the COW / PTW system.
- Ensure proper operation of the system in achieving daily production; Responsible for start-up, shutdown, handling upset and emergencies.
- Communicate with the Field Engineer / Lead Panel Engineer / Shift engineer for smooth & safe operation of the plant with the identification & mitigation of associated risks
- Responsible for troubleshooting and minimizing downtime; Responsible for preparing permits and certificates as required.
- Accountable for proper recording/logging of information/data from the operating system.
- Responsible for highlighting process deviations & issues and communicating the right information to the concerned; Responsible for proper coordination with the team members related to the job which includes field engineers and Shift engineers.
- Prepare and update SOPs, Checklists, Operational Logbooks, etc.
- Prepare and update procedures for equipment isolation and maintenance.
- Update the Interlock bypass document on daily basis and highlight deviations for corrective actions
- Execute HOTO through OMPRO
- Monitor alarms and assist in alarm rationalization.
- Participation in mock drills.
Education Requirement :
Engineering Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineer (or) Diploma in Mechanical / Chemical with Engineering Degree from Reputed Institutions
Experience Requirement :
Specific Exp: 2 years for Graduates with Engineering Degree in a relevant field
Overall Exp : 3 – 5 Years
Skills & Competencies :
- Should have skills in DCS operation.
- Should have knowledge of Oil & Gas operations.
- Should have knowledge of COW / PTW systems
- Should have good communication skills and interact with multidisciplinary teams.
- OMS awareness and implementation of critical/relevant sub-elements
