JOB OBJECTIVES:
You will be a member of the teams developing the products as a water heater design engineer. You will serve as the reference for the water heater design specs in line with the company’s process for product development projects. Following the criteria for quality, cost, and timelines, you will take part in the industrialization of your ideas as well as their confirmation.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Control all the PLM (Part Life Manager) and BoM (Bill of Material) content.
- Create a technological water heater design for a new product line.
- Help the factory with product customization and variation.
- Participate in the technical validation plans’ definition and work with the project team to support the validations.
- To make the items a reality, work closely with the supply chain, industrialization, and process teams.
- Create goods and parts, and deliver drawings
- Provide the guidelines and the requirements for the parts and raw materials.
- Maintain technical contact with the vendors (raw materials, components, services)
- Create and test prototypes.
- Consider and evaluate different design options.
- Use numerical techniques and tools to improve designs.
- Cooperate closely with the teams in charge of manufacturing, supply chain, and quality.
EXPERIENCE: 2-5 YR
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- experienced in designing injection plastic parts, household appliances, and mechanical components.
- knowledgeable about new product introduction and product development.
- skilled in engineering change management and techniques.
- understanding of design validation and DFMEA.
- Office 365, CAD (Creo is a bonus), and PLM software proficiency (TeamCenter is a plus).
- a mastery of English
EDUCATION LEVEL:
- Minimum level required: NIT B-Tech
- Desired level: IIT M-Tech
- Engineering fields: mechanical, electromechanical, industrial.
