Job Description:

The Engineer – Quality role involves ensuring the quality of telecom towers manufactured at partner locations by conducting inspections, preparing reports, and addressing quality issues. This position is pivotal in maintaining Rambøll’s high standards of quality and safety while collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and implement improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings and provide technical support at production locations.
• Prepare daily quality reports and escalate discrepancies to the location manager.
• Conduct independent quality checks during shifts.
• Maintain health and safety standards at partner locations, adhering to Rambøll’s Code of Conduct (CoC).
• Participate in root cause analysis and propose solutions to overcome quality issues.
• Witness raw material testing and conduct random sampling in partner quality labs.
• Ensure no substandard parts are dispatched from manufacturing partners.
• Work closely with the manufacturing team to uphold quality standards for telecom tower production.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency with measuring instruments.
• Basic knowledge of welding techniques.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and familiarity with CAD software.

Qualifications & Personal Competencies:

• Education: Graduate in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Knowledge of galvanizing processes is preferred.
  • Prior experience in quality assurance within the engineering or manufacturing sector is advantageous.
• Languages: Fluency in English, Hindi, and Tamil.
• Other Requirements:
  • Strong listening and communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel to remote locations as needed.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts.
