Position – Remote Monitoring & Diagnostic Engineer

Job description
Essential Job Functions:
Gas turbine analysts supporting Monitoring and diagnostic (M&D) team at GE Power & Water involves in multiple tasks related to operation and performance of heavy duty gas turbines used for power generation. Typical tasks may include reporting of turbine operation assessment, Blade Health Monitoring (BHM), data quality monitoring, ad-hoc reporting and other technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Validate monthly operational assessment reports summarizing turbine performance and health based on turbine operational data.
- Analysis of various turbine parameters such as performance, vibration, combustion…etc.
- Identify any change in operational trends, find obvious causes and escalate to the subject matter expert.
- Interpret data into real time operational scenarios
- Identify and escalate any anomaly identified or issues related to the tools & infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and follow-ups to the customer queries.
Qualification & Essential requirements
- Bachelors of engineering (BE) in Mechanical/Aeronautical
- 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of power plant operation is mandatory
- Gas Turbine (GT) Engine operating principles knowledge is Mandatory
- GT Data analysis & Trend analysis experience is advantage
- Ability to interact and provide solutions for GT Engine snags is an added advantage
- Validation of reports based on established processes for quality and accuracy of content
- Quality management within the expected Report publication process
- Carrying out Ad-hoc based reporting requests as needed basis
