Application Engineering (AE): Job Description


Role
Application Engineering (AE) will support the detailed engineering activities for Engineered to Order (ETO) systems. AE will focus on creating, updating and maintaining the 2D / 3D CAD drawings for various product lines and individual products.
AE needs to be responsive to customer projects with very short line of communication between the LECI (Lubrication Engineer Center India) and the requesting group

Key Responsibilities

(Engineering drawings/ Lubrication Skid Design)

  • Update existing 2D / 3D product / components drawings
  • Migration of drawings from one tool / package to another
  • Convert physical drawings to digitalized format
  • Application & Detailed Engineering for Engineered to Order Systems
  • P&IDs, Piping Design, Electrical Engineering and 3D isometrics
  • Bill of Material Generation for all Class 1, 2 & 3 parts.

Desired Skills:

  • Very good knowledge of CAD tools (3D/2D) such as Solidworks, inventor and Autocad
  • Knowledge of maintaining Bill of Material and product documentation in ERP Systems such as SAP
  • Deep understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing application to part drawings and function
  • In depth knowledge of P&IDs, Piping Design and 3D isometrics.
  • Very good knowledge of CAD tools (3D/2D) such as Solidworks, inventor and Autocad
  • In depth knowledge of all Bill of Materials for a lubrication system including items such as reservoir, pumps, heat exchangers etc.
  • Excellent Communication (Written& Verbal) with Presentation Skills

Software & Tools:

  • Drawings – Autocad, , Solidworks, Inventor
  • Skid Design – Solidworks, Solidplant P&ID, Solidworks PDM

BE in Mechanical Engineering
