Job Description

Main Purpose:

Supply Chain:

  • This position is responsible for leading the Channo Concentrate Supply Chain verticals including Demand Planning, Production Planning, Logistics, Distribution & Transportation (LD&T), Inventory Management, and Innovation management for the site. The position holder is expected to work in close coordination with India BU Supply Chain, Bottling Plants, PGCS Supply Chain & Innovation team, BU R&D, and site Manufacturing teams. The position holder is responsible for stabilizing the Supply Chain processes at Channo and implement Supply Chain best practices from within PepsiCo Worldwide Flavors and India BU.

Demand & Supply Planning

  • Ensuring that proactive and agile supply Chain processes are introduced at site in line with PGCS best practices
  • Optimize the supply & distribution network for cost-effective and reliable supply chain
  • As a site BCP coordinator, develop, test, and keep living the BCP of the site in line with PWF sourcing strategy
  • Set up a system to effectively manage the demand volatility through an effective servicing strategy
  • Responsible to deliver optimum Fill Rate & On-Time delivery to orders received
  • Ensuring that a structured review & Communication process is established within stakeholders, BU Supply Chain, Bottling partners, and PGCS team
  • Develop & deliver DII/inventory strategy and targets for the site
  • Ensure a healthy working relationship is established with Transport Union Partners
  • Ensure that all statutory records for stock accuracy are maintained by the function and there is no operations risk due to noncompliance
  • All documents accompanying the stock to be compliant with local tax regulations
  • Meet the AOP commitment for cost
  • Drive productivity mindset within the function
  • Deliver customer satisfaction score for the site
  • To deliver Food Safe handling and transportation operations within the function
  • To develop a Zero Quality defect mindset within the team
  • Efficient management of inventories including tracking of non-moving(SLOB and blocked stocks) and coordinating with other parts of the business to ensure optimal utilization.
  • As a process Owner for controls on O2C, P2P, C&T & MIM (Partly) controls, ensure that Business, financial, and operations risks are identified and timely addressed
  • Ensuring timely delivery of innovation agenda in line with strategic planning
  • Co-ordinating with Global commercialization team, BU, R&D, and internal stakeholders to assess gaps for any innovation execution and facilitate timely closure
  • Team development- Develop team’s capability through structured inventions for future-readiness

Systems:

  • Leveraging SAP tools for long term capacity and material planning
    Drive data hygiene for the site
  • Drive Business Continuity Program for having back up to critical vendors
    Leading the insurance recovery for any in-transit damage
  • Implement Best Practice Sharing arising out of Peer interaction/ Plant visits
  • Generation of appropriate MIS and analytics on a regular basis to support performance management systems

AIB & Food Safety

  • Comply to minimum mandate and GMP standards as per AIB guidelines
  • Ensure Food Safe transportation and handling system is set up within the function, both for in-bound and out-bound supplies
  • Drive Zero Defect mindset within the team

Compliances:

  • Comply to Excise rules in terms of stock accuracy and requisite documentations
  • Right Tax categories for all in-bound material procured for directs, indirects and capexes
  • Ensure product CTH classification are harmonized per global database
  • Interface to FSSAI & other customs interfacing government agencies

People Management:

  • Ensure compliance with global core people processes for the team
  • Drive talent pipeline for the team through the People Plan process
  • Develop a team’s capability through structured inventions for future-readiness

Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

  • Graduate in Engineering – Chemical/Mechanical/Production Engg
  • MBA with major in Operations/Supply Chain Management
  • Additional courses on Supply Chain or Procurement will be an added advantage for success in this role.

Experience:

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in the related field is desirable
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is preferable.
