About NTPC Mining Ltd: NTPC Mining Ltd Ltd, established in 2019 as the wholly owned subsidiary of India’s largest integrated power company, is looking for newly qualified and experienced persons in Coal Mining in the trades of Mining Overman, Magazine in charge, Mechanical Supervisor, and Electrical Supervisor. Vocational Training Instructor, Junior Mine Surveyor & Mining Sirdar disciplines as per details given below:

UPPER AGE LIMIT:

Matric/10th pass from Govt recognized Board, with a valid Mining Sirdar certificate of competency issued by DGMS for coal and a Valid First Aid certificate issued with a minimum 60% (For SC/ST minimum marks in academic qualification shall be pass marks)
The Upper Age Limit is 30 Years (except for the post mentioned at S.No. -5 (Vocational Training Instructor”) as on the last date of online submission of Application at careers.ntpc.co.in the portal for General (UR) & EWS category candidates.
The upper age limit for Vocational Training Instructor shall be 40 years.
Category-wise relaxation in the Upper Age Limit is as mentioned below:
OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) – 3 Years crease as per our
SC/ST-5 Years
Land Oustee – 5 years
Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) category candidates is as per extant Govt. of India guidelines.

NOTE:

For conversion of grades in percentage terms in the case of Institutes awarding grades in CGPA/GPA, the certificate issued by the University/Institute in this regard must be attached mandatorily.
Apprenticeship or vocational training periods would not be counted towards experience.
In case of any dispute arising about the admissibility of any particular qualification, the decision of NML Management shall be final and binding.

EMOLUMENTS AND SERVICE CONDITIONS:

Monthly emoluments and compensation for trades from SI No: 1 to 6:
Consolidated fixed monthly pay of INR 50,000/-
Monthly emoluments and compensation for trade at Si No: 7
Consolidated fixed monthly pay of INR 40,000/-
In addition, medical facilities for self, spouse & two children, and HRA/company accommodation (subject to availability) shall be provided as per Company Rules. On the official tour, the company will reimburse TA/DA, as applicable.
Duration: Initially for 03 years and extendable up to 02 years based on organizational requirements.

SELECTION PROCESS

Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Written Test followed by a Skill/Competency
Test, as detailed below: Stage: Written Test: In the first stage, a Written Test of a Total 100 marks, comprising 1st multiple-choice questions, covering relevant subjects/disciplines, will be conducted.
The duration of the Test will be up to 120 minutes. Each question will carry 1 mark and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. The qualifying marks are 40% marks in the case of the General/EWS category and 30% in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
The candidates will be shortlisted at an approved call ratio for 2nd stage Test
2nd Stage: Skill / Competency Test: In the 2nd stage, a Skill / Competency Test of a total of 100 marks in the respective discipline will be conducted. The qualifying marks are 40% marks in the case of the General/EWS category and 30% in the case of SC/ST/OBC candidates. The candidates shall be selected based on the merit in the Written Test, subject to the condition that the candidate qualifies in the Skill / Competence Test
Test Center: Both the 1st and 2nd Stage Tests shall be conducted at Test Centres in Ranchi, Jharkhand. The address of the venue will be notified through the admit card

section at www.ntpc.co.in for applying. No other means/ mode of application shall be accepted. Candidates are required to possess a valid email ID. NTPC will not be responsible for bouncing back of any email sent to the candidates. Candidates belonging to the General/EWS/OBC category are required to pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 300/-, The SC/ST/XSM category /Land oustee & female candidates need not pay the application fee.
Payment in offline mode: State Bank of India has been authorized to collect the application fee, in a specially opened account (A/c No. 30987919993) at the CAG branch. New Delhi (Code: 09996), on behalf of NTPC. The candidate has to approach the nearby. SBI branch with a printout of the “pay-in-slip” which is available on the application
portal. The pay-in slip printed from the portal should only be used for depositing the fee for proper crediting of the amount in the located account. On receipt of the money, the bank will issue a unique Journal Number and a Branch Code of the bank collecting the
money. This journal number and the branch code are to be filled up by the candidate during the online application, NTPC will not be responsible, in case a candidate deposits the fee in the wrong account.
Payment in online mode: Candidates also have the option to pay the fees online (through Net banking / Debit Card (Rupay Debit Cards Only) / Credit Card). The online payment option will be available in the online application form Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates are therefore requested to verify their eligibility criteria before paying the application fee. After applying online, the candidate is required to download the application slip generated by the system with the unique application number. A copy of the application slip may be retained by the candidate for future reference. No document is required to be sent to us by post.
