Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases (CE&IG) India is a subsidiary of Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases Group (Group) and incorporated in India. We seek an experienced Application Engineer to join our growing Nikkiso CE&IG India team.

Summary/Objective

The Application Engineer is responsible for preparing quotations for all inquiries (budget to purchase phase) and ensuring on-time submittal and responses. The Application Engineer is the primary contact for customers at the sales stage working in collaboration with the local Sales Manager.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

Prepare technical selection and scope of supply in line with customer’s technical requirements.
Review project specifications and prepare deviations list, as well as attend and/or respond to technical clarification requests from the customer.
Prepare costs and quotations (price and delivery) based on the performed technical selections and technical clarifications.
Work with other departments and suppliers to address any quotation-specific requirements.
Assist with AE tools development.
Domestic and foreign travel to meet with customers.

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Education and Experience

A bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering is required.
3 to 5+ years’ of professional experience is required.
Specific industry experience is strongly preferred.
English language proficiency is required.
Skilled in time management, prioritizing, and managing changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Strong client-facing and teamwork skills.
Experience in rotating equipment / centrifugal pumps is preferred.
Experience in bidding/proposal preparation and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical and commercial perspective.
MS Office proficiency
Experience w/ 3D CAD software, SOLIDWORKS preferred.
Experience w/ ERP system preferred.
Communication skills, Analytical Skills, Detail attention, Adaptability…
Become familiar with a range of CAD software applications.
