Job description

What You Will Do

  • Primary interface with all levels of customer organization as well as related distributors supporting these accounts. Will also interface with many internal Molex roles in support of these customers including GSM members, Product Mgmt, Engineering, Manufacturing, Vendavo Pricing Group, Quality, and Finance
  • Design-in Molex products in customer’s end products – both existing and new customers
  • Responsible for growing business profitably from the assigned customer base
  • Grow new opportunity pipelines consistently to support business growth
  • Help customers select the right connectors for their application, provide samples and quotes, negotiate and win business for Molex
  • Develop good working relationships with customers and pursue higher business allocation
  • Build account strategy for good prospective accounts
  • For any new product or solutions opportunity, provide PDR requests for new product developments
  • Organize calls with customers and the Product Division for the resolution of technical queries
  • Organize sales promotion activities at customer place as and when required
  • Take support from DSM on a need basis for closures of contracts and business negotiation with assigned accounts
  • Design-in and transfer of opportunity to manufacturing locations for design-in accounts
  • Support Molex internal process by following approved policies and procedures
  • Continuous development of technical product skills to effectively sell a wide breadth of Molex offerings
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by management
  • Willing to travel. Ability to get things done through other people through persuasion. Ability to gain respect for the techno-commercial expertise of the customer base. Self-starter manages own workload in a well-organized and effective manner

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • BE/BTech Mechanical

  • Good communication skills – Both verbal and writing
  • Good interpersonal skills that demonstrate the ability to build rapport with external and internal contacts
  • Ability to gather competition activities at assigned accounts and advise Sales management
  • Exposure to customer application
