Position – Mechanical Repair Solution

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Aeronautical, Tooling, Industrial Production, Machine Design
Experience – 4 to 6 Yrs.

Develop digital repair & maintenance methods.
Research and analysis of engineering CAD data
Well versed with assembly and disassembly of systems/components
Evaluate & develop repair concepts in the system.
Authoring of created repair methods.
Develop know-how of the key aftersales processes in the Daimler workshops (e.g. what does an MB-Technician need?)
Follow the processes and standards defined for the project, participate in Knowledge sharing sessions and ensure quality deliverables
Co-ordinate & liaison with cross-functional teams depending on the work scope
Contribute to continuous improvement in the specified working area
Knowledge of the Mercedes-Benz portfolio is an added advantage

Knowledge & experience in Smaragd/NX or PLM/ CAD is a must
Good knowledge of overall automotive components/systems and its functioning is a must
Experience in the field of After Sales/technical documentation/ simulation/publication is preferred
Knowledge of Engineering Change Management system is an advantage
Exposure in automotive workshop/plant with hands-on experience is preferred
Aptitude to learn/grasp trending topics in the digital world and implement it in the project as applicable
Strong team player with decent communication one who puts the team above self
Ability to handle multiple work tasks and ensure timely deliverable
International exposure on projects is desirable
Knowledge of the German language is an added advantage
Open to travel within India/internationally depending on the project requirement

Research and analysis of Engineering data (3D CAD)
Develop methods for digital validation of repair & maintenance methods
Evaluate & develop repair concepts in EC (via Work-Step-Table “AST”) using Virtual Reality software
Document simulations of repair methods in the database
Develop a thorough understanding of the various carlines & engine types in MBC
Coordinate with different departments for updates on the above
Contribute to continuous improvement in the specified working area

Requirements

Min 7-13 years’ experience in the field of After Sales/technical documentation/ simulation/publication
Good knowledge on automotive components/systems and its functioning is must
Experience in repairs & maintenance of Mercedes-Benz cars is a must
Knowhow of the key aftersales processes in the Daimler workshops is desired (e.g.: what does an MB-Technician need?)
Knowledge in BIW/ Powertrain/ Vehicle Integration related to MBC
Experience in NX CAD is a desired
Experience in any Engineering Change Management system
Experience in any PLM software
Knowledge in computer programming & German language are added advantages
Knowhow of the key aftersales processes in the Daimler workshops is desired (e.g.: what does an MB-Technician need?)
