Product Planning Engineer Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the hierarchy of the products, processes, and assemblies to optimize the hours per vehicle/cycle time.
- Early planning should include comments from the design team on the design for assembly/manufacturing requirements.
- Conduct a product study and define the assembly process while taking quality, safety, delivery, and ergonomics into account.
- Connect the process definition to the properties of the Part, Tool, and Quality.
- Plan your line balance, TAKT time, and cycle time in advance.
- design expertise with tiny jigs and fixtures
- Using MTM or MOST criteria for a time study (MTM certification is desirable)
- Consider improvements/enhancements as a process planner by comparing to a prior product line.
- Managing projects with accountability for delivery, quality, timeliness, and innovation
Degree and qualification:
- Mechanical or production engineering as a major
- having expertise in manufacturing engineering, assembly from the automobile sector, and having a solid grasp of the assembly processes
Domain Skills:
- technical background in digital validation and assembly planning.
- Good practical experience and exposure to the procedures of the General Assembly and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of software and systems, such as DELMIA V5/Process Simulate/Vismockup/Team Center Visualization/Human Jack, etc.
- Experience with MTM and MOST of time study methodologies is preferred.
- Using a research-focused attitude and problem-solving abilities
IT skills: Knowledge of MS Office, having coding skills is desirable
Personal skills: Technical comprehension, Presentation Skills, pronounced goal, and result orientation, customer orientation, Teamwork, communication skills, giving and receiving feedback. Open-minded to address critical issues, errors, and mistakes, structured, independent working, self-initiative, and self-organization.
Musts: Willingness to be on site for impacts or rotating TM to cover continuous onsite support.
Desirable: German language skills (business fluent).
