Your responsibilities as an Engineer:
- § Participate in designing new products and/or supporting the Installed Base of mechanical components or subsystems.
- § Executes design to engineering standards.
- § Works within a team to deliver technical solutions.
- § Work on necessary documentation such as engineering prints, bills of materials, and related product specifications to allow successful transfer to manufacturing.
- § Coordinate procurement of prototype material and participate in building and verifying the design.
- § May work on design projects that reduce the cost of the product, as well as, designing necessary equipment or fixtures that are needed during the new product development cycle or with installed base products complying with EHS regulations and policies.
- § Engage in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction, and service support.
- § Execute design control requirements including the creation of detailed specifications, design verification, and validation plans, protocols, and reports.
- § Participate in design reviews with a cross-functional team to ensure the design meets the product requirements for safety, reliability, and manufacturability.
- § Prepares reports, presentations, and spreadsheets of an analytical and interpretative nature to be presented to the team.
- § Identify materials and specifications for components, subassemblies, and finished assemblies.
- § Design, build, test and documentation prototypes.
- § Assist with product risk management (DFMEA, DFA, PFMEA).
Skill Set Required:
- § Strong CAD skills (Solid Works, AUTOCAD) including 3D model design, tolerance specifications, and tolerance stack-up analysis for product assembles.
- § Knowledge of engineering design concepts for components and electromechanical assemblies that have demanding requirements for size, precision, reliability manufacturability, and cost.
- § Knowledge of Engineering Design Change Management process.
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelors/Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed Institution/University OR Post Graduation from German Tool Room Engineering OR Plastic Engineering.
- 2-8 years of Hands-on experience
