Job description

Essential :

1. B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical
2. Minimum 60 % marks

Role:

To design and develop motor & inverter system for hybrid vehicle.

Responsibilities:

1. Lay-outing & packaging of Motor & Inverter in vehicle.
2. Electrical & CAN integration of motor & inverter in vehicle.
3. Thermal management of motor for performance optimization.
4. Development of proto parts & tooled up parts by concurrent engineering with suppliers.
5. Analysis of market problems, NVH & Assembly issues pertaining to hybrid system.
6. AIS certification tests, Safety & compliance & Vehicle evaluations & countermeasure to failures.

Competency Requirements

Technical/ Functional:

1. CAD proficiency : Uni-graphics – Modeling (mandatory) & CAE.
2. Understanding of Motor & Inverter specifications & performance/ reliability requirements.
3. Understanding of production processes for parts of a motor, inverter, assembly process – design for manufacturing.
4. Understanding of thermal systems.
5. Tolerance stack-up, GD&T, BOM Management, Statistical Analysis.
6. Understanding of Manual and Automated manual transmission system.

Behavioral

1. Self-motivated, flexible and a team-player
2. Evidence of strong networking skills
3. Good communication and presentation skills & an initiator

Specific expertise required for functional area :

1. Preferably have work experience in an OEM.
2. Willingness to travel.
