Position – Deputy Manager – Transmission System (Unit Design)

Job description
Role:
To design and develop automotive manual transmissions (gear-box)
[Preference FR transmission / Transfer gearbox for 4WD application]
Responsibilities:
- Lay-outing and packaging of transmission in vehicle.
- Designing & development of transmission parts like gears, shafts, synchromesh system, gear shift mechanism, T/F gear box etc.
- Gear Design, 3D Modeling, Designer CAE & 2D Design (drawing).
- Analysis of NVH issues / testing failures / market problem root cause analysis.
Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional:
- CAD proficiency- Uni-graphics (preferably)
- Designer CAE & analysis proficiency– Uni-graphics (preferably)
- Understanding / Proficiency in gear design software like Romax, KISSsoft etc.)
- Tolerance stack-up analysis, DFMEA, FTA etc.
- Project management using Gant chart & PERT techniques.
Educational Qualification:
B.E / B. Tech in Mechanical
Position – Assistant/Deputy Manager – Project & Process Management

Job description
Role:
- Implementation & execution of project management for New Transmissions for new Vehicles
- Scheduling & coordinating the Transmission project management related activities
- Monitoring the process development, gateways as per the project schedule & compile Deliverables as per requirements
- Organizing Project Review & Work closely with various teams (Transmission, Engine etc.) in R&D Division & prepare MIS
Responsibility:
- Responsible for planning the project management schedule from first design to SOP for New Transmissions.
- Reviewing & monitoring project activities & coordinating with team members to maintain targeted schedules.
- Responsible for the implementation, up gradation & creating new check sheets standards followed in vehicle development process management.
- Actively participating in project management team discussions, and provide valuable feedback.
- Responsible for implementation of new tools & system for work efficiency improvement within R&D division.
- Preparation of MIS for weekly & monthly reporting.
- Monitoring cost reduction targets within in division.
- Responsible for database & knowledge management.
Competency Requirements:
Technical/Functional:
- Strong knowledge of automotive project management and its requirements preferably for New Transmission OR Engine
- Strong technical understanding of vehicle life cycle.
- Transmission systems of Passenger car features & its function, FMEA, etc.
- High level of computer literacy, using “Windows”, “MS Office” and & MS Project
- Expertise in Excel, Advance Excel, Macros & VBA.
- Strong oral and written communication skills for reports and team interactions & presentations.
