Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

  • Will be responsible for delivering mechanical development CoE roles of some off-highway / powerol engines.

Key deliverables are,

  1. Design verification plan preparation
  2. Deploying past project learnings in to new design
  3. Design failure mode analysis and DFMEA preparation
  4. Defining load / boundary case for virtual simulation.
  5. SOR / Supplier DVP preparation for bought out parts.
  6. Planning / Execution / Monitoring of fatigue / Lab durability / reliability test / Field test as per DVP.
  7. ORC resolution and tracking.
  8. Root cause analysis and ORC resolution
  9. Product clearance after DVP execution
  10. Engine reliability prediction
  11. Part deviation study and clearance during SOVP
  12. Simulating field failure in lab
  13. Report preparation and release.

Experience – 3 to 5 years experience on diesel engine design and mechanical development.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • This position is responsible for benchmarking, preparation of design concepts (lightweight cargo and delivery container, BiW components, and structure), integration, technical feasibility study, and release optimised and detailed design (2D and 3D CAD) by preparing and adhering to DQA (DCS, GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.), internal and external standard and customer requirements
  • Detailed benchmarking of lightweight cargo and delivery container, BiW system and subsystems of the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
  • Preparation, review, control and monitor Design Quality Assurance (DQA) documents and its major elements such as Benchmarking, Design Concept Sheet (DCS), GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.
  • Detailed benchmarking of cargo and delivery container, BiW system and subsystems of the Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV)
  • Manage system, subsystem and component level design requirements through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of concepts and detail parametric design (parts and assemblies) in CATIA V5 for BEV mechanical systems such as lightweight cargo and delivery container, BiW systems and subsystems in a complex packaging environment from predevelopment to series development phase
  • Evaluate, balance and trade-off the design concepts for the attributes such as DFA, DFS, cost, quality and time

  • Analyse and evaluate customer requirements, elicitate and specify system level requirements, support for sub-system level specification, Validating the requirements

  • Should ensure the traceability is established between different level of requirements and test cases
  • Should ensure timely delivery as per deliverable expectations from Mahindra Electric Development process
  • Should be able to support for IATF audits
  • Support Verification and validation team for related issues.

Experience

  • Total 7-9 years engineering experience in automotive and 5 Years Experience in Requirements Engineering

Industry Preferred – Automotive Industry

Qualifications

  • BE/Btech or ME/MTech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering
