Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Ensure the CAD Design release as per project timeline Preparation of BOM.
  • Benchmarking of competitions vehicle for features, ergonomics & Weight optimization.
  • Design adherence to Performance, Quality Cost and weight and deliver on time.
  • Provide Design feasibility to Styling by preparing multiple part proposals for improving part quality and interface.
  • Preparation of DCS & Support PPT for Reviews Conduct DFMEA sessions.
  • Do the preliminary Tooling feasibility of parts with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction.
  • Data releases for Vendor on Board, CAE & to Suppliers for Feasibility.
  • Release of 3D models in Team center /PLM systems with related Quality checks.
  • Perform the DMU, Assembly and Service study on designs
  • Provide 3D CATIA models with GD &T Annotations
  • CAD Design proposals in consultation with internal, external (Supplier) experts.
  • Support to CFT teams for part development, Cost saving and quality initiatives.
  • Resolution of build-related issues along with proper analysis

  • Experience in Trim Design at Automobile OEM or Tier 1 around 4Yrs. to 6 Yrs.
  • Experience in Interior Trims (Pillar trims, RQT) design and Development.
  • Understand global trends in Pillar trim in line with global competition for features.
  • Knowledge of plastic part Design & tooling for checking tooling feasibility with tool direction definition, parting line & Slider/ Lifter construction & Grain mapping.
  • Should have exposure to Interface checks, DMU, Manufacturing and Service requirements.
  • Knowledge of plastics parts Gap-Flush, BSR requirements.
  • Awareness of CAE, DFMEA, Vehicle DVP & Validation requirements
  • CATIA parametric Modeling.

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables
  • Detailed benchmarking of different systems and subsystems of interior exterior and trims components of the BEV
  • Manage system, subsystem and component level design requirements through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
  • Preparation of concepts and detail parametric design (parts and assemblies) in CATIA V5 for BEV’s interior, exterior and trims components such as console, dashboard, frontend modules, front and rear bumper, door trims, instrument panel, quarter trim, glove box, grill, sills etc., in a complex packaging environment from predevelopment to series development phase
  • Evaluate, balance and trade-off the design concepts for the attributes such as DFA, DFS, cost, quality and time
  • Interface and DMU analysis, generate a report and seamless coordination with internal and external stakeholders to resolve packaging and integration challenges
  • Preparation, review, control and monitor Design Quality Assurance (DQA) documents and its major elements such as Benchmarking, Design Concept Sheet (DCS), GD&T, DFMEA, DFMA, DFSS, DFS&R, DVP&R etc.
