Position – Executive/ Assistant Manager – Operations & Maintenance (Mechanical)

Job description

Roles and Responsibilities

1. HSE :
   1. Conduct interactive sessions with contractors/contract employee to promote HSE policy
   2. Ensure timely closure of safety actions pertaining to incident investigation, SMT tours & safety audits
   3. Ensure that safety procedures are being followed at site
2. Resolution of customer complaints :
   1. Improve efficiency of emergency response team
   2. Ensure availability of all requisite tools, services and tackles
3. Liaise with internal stakeholder :
   1. Planning- Provide inputs for annual budget and Certify measurements for the contracts/bills
   2. Project Team- Provide timely intimation of proposed gas line/ asset diversion, commissioning
   3. HSE Team
   4. Asset Integrity- Take suggestions for deviations from COP at site execution
   5. CRM- Provide necessary information to resolve customer complaints
4. Liaise with external stakeholders :
   1. Communicate with contractors regarding site requirements
   2. Ensure timely receipt of permit of work from statutory authorities & maintain necessary licenses of assets so as to be compliant
   3. Maintain good relations with other utility companies
   4. Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints
5. Breakdown/Preventive maintenance :
   1. Ensure availability of spares for Preventive maintenance
   2. Execute maintenance as per schedule
   3. Ensure minimum breakdown after effective preventive maintenance
   4. Ensure proper maintenance of gas network and repair damage of gas lines to provide uninterrupted supply to customers
   5. Maintain gas losses within specified limits
   6. Ensure network integrity management
   7. Ensure compliance to PNGRB guideline
6. Steel O&M activities :
   1. Ensure steel pipe laying and testing of new steel valves and steel pipes as per procedure
   2. Prepare NROs and follow up for approval from competent authority for activities like steel pipeline laying, steel valve replacement above ground modification and diversions
   3. Ensure adequate resources for job execution
   4. Availability of materials such as steel pipe and fittings in stores
   5. Ensure corrosion mitigations by keeping contracts for painting and coating in place
   6. Ensure repair of damaged steel pipelines and cleaning and maintenance of steel valve chambers
7. Documentation :
   1. Maintain all documents and asset monitoring reports
   2. Maintain ISO documents and statutory documents as per policy

This job may involve shift duty.

Position – Assistant Manager – Engineering & Planning ( PE Planning)

Roles and Responsibilities

Network planning:

• Co-ordinate with activities pertaining to planning of medium and low pressure PE pipeline networks for existing as well as new areas.
• Carry out preliminary survey of domestic and I&C customers (for installation of MRS / SRM) and for DRSs, consolidation and updation of pipeline network data and porting of same in Synergy for carrying out optimization of pipeline network design
• Preparation of planned MP drawings as required by Projects, and issuing the same to Projects Department for construction; and ensure compliance to the ISO process pertaining to the same.
• Providing assistance, as required (Joint Survey, proposing route of pipeline, and providing sizing of GI pipeline) to Projects Department in regard to Low Pressure (LP) networks pertaining to builder category
• Provide details of cost of connection (pertaining to I&C customers) to Commercial / Marketing Departments vide the CCRs (Connection Cost Requests) received from them
• Miscellaneous / special requirements / activities pertaining to project areas of South Mumbai, like preparation of LP drawings for PE projects, detailed survey of buildings, survey for additional DRS, etc.

Material planning:

• To ensure availability of more than 95% of material for the projects to ensure no stock-out of materials in stores.
• Initiating and expediting various activities required for the procurement of materials for the fiscal year like forecasting the requirement of materials for a fiscal year and placing of indents of materials, cost estimation for the indents, carrying out the Technical Bid Evaluation, and assist C&P in order processing.
• Coordinating with third party inspection agencies for carrying out the inspection of the materials sourced from vendors located in indigenous as well as foreign locations.
• Carry out activities to develop new vendors for supply of materials and services
• Carry out activities in compliance with ISO procedure
• Ensure timely appointment of agency pertaining to Synergy, ACAD
• Compliance with the process of ISO.

Engineering activities

• Review and incorporate improvements in COPs, SOPs, design philosophy, and technical specifications of materials
• Provide inputs and support to Commercial department during bidding of cities
• Carry out stress analysis of riser and lateral system of multi-storeyed buildings having height more than 120 metres, and expedite with design consultants for same

Desired Candidate Profile

• B.E. (Mechanical/ Chemical/ E&I)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in CGD sector/ Oil & Gas industry, preferred knowledge of software like SYNERGY GAS, GIS etc.

Position – Asst. Mgr / Deputy Mgr – Engineering & Planning ( Steel Planning)

Network planning:

• Co-ordinate with activities pertaining to planning of High pressure network for existing as well as new areas.
• Conduct pipeline route surveys and hydraulic surveys.
• Carry out the preliminary survey, network optimization for network design,
• Prepare and issue pipeline laying drawing to projects for construction.
• Prepare and issue piping Isometric drawings for above ground piping work
• Pipeline sizing and wall thickness calculations

Material planning:

• Estimate the Bill of Materials.
• Initiate & expedite for the procurement of material for the financial year.
• Place the indent.
• Provide the cost estimation.
• Carry out the technical bid evaluation and assist to C&P for order processing.
• Co-ordinate with Third party inspection agency for material inspection.
• Carry out inspection of material, vendor works and stores.
• Review and prepare the technical specification of material.
• Identify the new vendor development for material.
• Compliance the process of ISO.

Contract planning:

• Prepare the schedule of quantities, estimates, complete tender package include special condition of contract, SOW, SOR for laying job.
• Carry out technical bid evaluation and co-ordinate with C&P to expedite aware of work order.
• Carry out emplanement of contractors.
