Job Purpose
The scope of the role is centred on consistently delivering assigned work on-time adhering to quality standards and possessing excellent engineering skills. Responsibilities include prioritizing, planning, execution of project related activities and continually improving the productivity of the team
Education
Diploma Engineers, Engineering Graduate
Preferred Education
Experience – 36 to 72 months

- Impacts on-time delivery by automating routine/regular day-to-day tasks, developing reusable modules/procedures and sharing the same with the team
- Impacts technical capability of the team by constantly improving and upgrading technical skills/knowledge to the global standard and sharing the same with other members

Principal Accountabilities (A)
Technical Management
Understands requirements
- Understands and interprets the technical requirements as per the project specification and checklists
- Ensures to acquire awareness of local and international standards as well as those required by the customer
Skill development and contribution
- Keeps abreast of the technical skills/knowledge required for the role and shares knowledge with the team. Provides inputs to enhance team productivity
- Responsible for contributing to presentations, demonstrations to the potential customers and for publishing technical papers under the guidance of Project Lead/Project Manager
Technical solution generation
- Responsible for analysing the issues/challenges in day-to-day tasks and propose/support development of solutions in consultation with Project Lead/Project Manager
- Accountable for providing error-free deliverables to agreed specifications, within the assigned time/effort estimated/planned
Project Management
Project planning and execution
- Responsible to manage, maintain and monitor the assigned task according to stipulated standards, practices and milestones
- Responsible to prepare and execute QC checklists
- Ensures proper communication/escalation to PL where applicable, like scope change etc
Project review and reporting
- Responsible for timely and prompt progress reporting to line manager as per project plan
- Participates in quality audit/peer reviews as required by the company/project policy
Risk identification
- Accountable to ensure proper communication / issue escalation as and when required
- Responsible to conduct root cause analysis, manage and mitigate the risks in consultation with PL

- 3D routing of cables in CREO Parametric
- Mechanical design for the complete cabling and cable sets of the MRI components, (sub-) systems and siting.
- 3D routing of cables in CREO Parametric
- Find solutions for length issues (major issue for MRI compatibility) and optimize their routing
- Design for assembly, Design for connectivity
- Cable harness / strain relief design
- Checking, completing 3D / 2D CAD data
- Specify dimensions, materials, and procedures for new products
- Reviewing existing drawings and designs for further improvement
- Collaborate with architect and other engineers on the design
- Create BOMs and manage various cable configurations
- Transfer to suppliers: Exchanging data with suppliers
- Consulting on applicable standards, tools and assembly processes
- Collaborate with designers of cabinets, cables and mechanical sub-assemblies as well as with suppliers of components and sub-assemblies.
- Contributing to managing lifecycle of components
- Investigate Supply Change Requests, End-Of-Life and propose changes/improvements/solutions.
- Pro active communication on foreseen issues on Supply Change Requests, End-Of-Life.
- Design and development
- Work from rough sketches and specifications created by engineers and architects
- Help design products with engineering and manufacturing techniques
- Prepare concepts for review by engineers and architects
- Setup/discuss design rules on mechanical cabling design
- Ensures that the design is consistent with the higher level architecture and requirements.
- Ensure that the proposed design would have the safety, reliability and quality features built-in
- Responsible for ensuring that the design meets the performance, quality and cost criteria
- Conducts Concept & Feasibility studies. Leads the introduction of new technologies
- Ensures that there is proper documentation per standards for the developed design
- Ensures the mutual consistency and efficient integration of the separate components in modular design that meets the product specification
- Ensures that his design modules meet the product certification requirements
- Draws up personal schedule and reports on progress.
- Defines and assess the Work Breakdown Structure/ planning/ costs of his/her area.
- Keeps abreast of technical developments in own field through study of literature and technical contacts.
