Larsen & Toubro Limited is currently seeking a Design Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s/Masters’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputed institute such as NITs, IIT or IISc. They should be part of the institute’s merit list, and have a first-class throughout their education without any ATKT and no discontinuity between courses, with an age limit of 35 years. The candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the Design/Engineering functions with reputed organizations.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• High proficiency in hand calculations and free-body diagrams for complex systems
• Knowledge of the Strength of Materials
• High proficiency in ASME Code Based Mechanical Design of Pressure Vessels & Heat Exchangers
• Familiarity with other International Design Codes & Standards
• Familiarity with TEMA/ HTRI/ Thermal Design Methods & Processes for Heat Exchangers, Condensers, Chillers, Immersion Heater, etc
• Proficiency in the Design of Process Pipelines based on ASME/ other international codes
• Understanding Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Methods and capability to identify & finalize Load cases, Boundary Conditions, Report Evaluation, Mitigation of observations
• Understanding Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Methods and capability to identify & finalize Boundary Conditions, Report Evaluation, Mitigation of observations
• High proficiency in Solid Modelling in UG-NX & CATIA V5
• Familiarity with reputed Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms
• Coordinating with external agencies such as Government customers, vendors, TPI etc

Minimum Qualification
