Eligibility Criteria
- Years of Experience: Minimum 10 years of relevant experience with 3 to 4 years in a people manager role
- Educational qualification: Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Mechanical /Industrial/Production Engineering
Job Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for department functions including
- Long-term and short-term Goals & Objectives
- Management communication, Strategic Planning, PMD (Performance Management & Development), Staffing, Coaching & Mentoring
- High-Performance Management to drive Innovation and Standardization of fixtures across global manufacturing sites
- Project Management: work assignments, QDC (Quality, Delivery, Cost) focus
- Understanding and translating fixture requirements effectively into work assignments
- Accountable for the quality and timeliness of fixture design release and be a point of contact for any escalations
- Work with global manufacturing sites in prioritizing and aligning deliverables per project milestones
- Reports, Monitoring and Control: Department Metrics, Project schedule, Resource allocation, stretch responsibilities & drive new Initiatives
- Effective use of Lam Business Process, methods, tools, standards, practices, and proliferate the same to reach higher order of performance
Mandatory Skills
- Excellent leadership skills. Must have managed a team of 8-12 engineers (3 to 4 years of experience in people management)
- Demonstrated expertise in automatic/semi-automatic fixtures for handling, testing and transportation of large products on the manufacturing floor
- Possess structured problem-solving and decision-making ability in the absence of complete or accurate data
- Experience in situational leadership, conducting appraisal feedback and motivating team in achieving business results
Desired Skills
- Experience in assembling product in a manufacturing set-up
- Knowledge on Semiconductor equipment and its assembly process
- Exposure to Project Management tools and techniques, MS Project and Gantt charts
- Ability to work / liaison with 3rd party vendors in evaluating manufacturing feasibility of components and sub-assemblies, preparing engineering cost estimates
- Deep understanding of OEM component selection like leadscrews, LM guideways, motors, bearings etc.
