Position Overview

We are looking for an Electro-mechanical Engineer who is good in basics of electrical engineering concepts and expertise in design and development of medium voltage protection and switching product line

Duties and Responsibilities

• Interact with US clients to understand and gather project requirements.
• Generate conceptual 3D design, engineering calculations and detailed design for extensive range of electro-mechanical products using Autodesk Inventor.
• Converting the ideas into practically feasible product-oriented design.
• Validate the conceptual design integrity using FEA analysis.
• Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for part manufacturing with GD&T.
• Create Drawings based on ASME Y14.5M – 1994 standards.
• Support for the electrical product testing with respect to IEEE standards.
• Generate documentation including design spec, part drawings, engineering bill of materials and assembly drawing per Hubbell standard.
• Working knowledge in Vault and SAP based engineering change management process.
• Knowledge on DFM and DFA is an added advantage

Skills and Experience

Mandatory – Minimum 3 years’ experience in electrical industry dealing with medium voltage protection and switching products. Must have working knowledge in all the features of Autodesk Inventor & AutoCAD

Desirable – Minimum 2 years working experience in FEA analysis – Electro-thermal and stress analysis. Working knowledge in FEA software Ansys or COMSOL and PLM vault is desirable

Education

Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Relevant Industries – Power
