The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy’s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Your responsibilities

• Provide CAD data modeling service to GPS of the various products to create and maintain their Product Data in a way that it can be used to build respective product configurator.
• Support GPS in the migration of legacy CAD data into Creo as standard within PGHV for mechanical design and required data format for the use in Product Configurator Services.
• Create required advanced/automated Top Structures and Templates to be used in the product configurator to automate order specific creation of required Tender Drawings. (Senior level)
• Coordinate activities and required changes with GPS as Product owners.
• Provided service to GPS can include the maintenance of Product Structure in Windchill plus all needed actions to release data as part of Product Data and Life Cycle management

Your background

• Minimum required batchelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with 2-4 years work experience
• Good Creo (CAD) and Windchill (PLM) knowledge is a mandatory skill
• Further engineering experience in GD&T, Design for Manufacturing and Assembly are preferred
• Creo automation with ProProgram/Drawing and or ToolKit is mandatory knowledge for senior role
• Good communication in English (oral & written) is mandatory
• Experience in collaboration with peers from other cultural background is preferred
